Marion – James Krieg, 69, died Saturday, August 25, 2012, in the Marion VA Hospital. He was born in Warren, Indiana on November 18, 1942 to the late Ottis J. and Agnes (Griggs) Krieg. He married Susan Krieg on October 5, 1963, and she survives. James was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a production superintendent at General Tire for 35 years. He was a life member of the D.A.V. and a member of the American Legion Post #10. James was an avid salmon fisherman and mushroom hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Krieg, Marion; sons, James "Butch" (Karen) Krieg, Elkhart and Scott (Angie) Krieg, Red Key; grandchildren, Jeremy, Brandon, Anthony, Linsay, Tiffany, Jenna and Dakota; great-granddaughter, Alexus; brothers, Ivan Krieg and Allan Krieg; sister, Mary Ann James; and favorite dog, Boots.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ottis and Agnes Krieg; brother, Paul Krieg; and sister, Betty Miller.
Visitation will be from 11 am - 1 pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, Indiana.
Funeral Service will be at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
