Kevin M. Thompson, 55, Marion, passed away in his home at 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017. A Fourth of July baby, Kevin was born in Connersville on July 4, 1962, to Dean and Marlene (Crank) Thompson. He married Kathy Brown on July 5, 1997, and she survives.
Following his military service in the U.S. Navy, Kevin worked at RCA. The greatest moment in his life, though, was when he recently accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He began attending Chapel Pike Wesleyan, where he was baptized on Sunday, November 26, 2017, along with his lovely granddaughter, Karma. Kevin was the happiest when he could be outdoors, especially when he could go fishing, hunting, and boating. He loved his family and cherished each moment with them.
He is survived by his parents, Dean and Marlene Thompson; his loving wife of 20 years, Kathy; sons, Daniel Collins and Jesse Dean Thompson, both from Marion; grandchildren, Chy, Chase, Karma, Jesse Jr., and Vito; brother, Jeffrey D. (Patty Soto Rivas) Thompson; sister, Susan T. (Martyn) Barnes; several nieces, nephews, friends, and cousins; special cousin, Andy Thompson; and his dogs, Chewy and Hadji.
Preceding him in death were cousins, Timmy and Adam Thompson.
The family will receive visitors from 12-1 p.m. with Kevin's funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Pastor Steve Colter will be officiating with burial following at Gardens of Memory.
