Mona J. Jack, who just turned 58 years old, passed away at 8:23 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. A lifelong resident of Marion, she was born on January 2, 1961, to the late Lester and Norma Jean (Long) Miller. She married her husband, Mark Jack, in March of 1990, and he survives.
Mona worked in food services throughout her career, serving as a manager at Wendy’s, Marion General Hospital, and Family Fireworks. She enjoyed crocheting, playing video games, coloring, collecting unicorns, and fishing.
She will be missed by her husband, Mark, Marion; children, April Miller, Marion, and Amanda (David) Felton, Marion; grandchildren, Robert Pease, Tim “Joe” Miller, Madison Gilbertson, and Anthony Gilbertson; siblings, Bruce (Debbie) Miller, Landess, David (Chrissy) Miller, Fairmount, Lisa Smith, Marion, and Peggy (Steve) Parker, Marion; several nieces and nephews; and Martha Sue Matute, Marion.
Also preceding her in death were her uncles, James Tidwell and Sammy Tidwell; grandmother, Thelma Tidwell; and mother-in-law, Marilyn Jack.
The family will receive visitors from 2 to 3 p.m. with Mona’s funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Grant Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN. Pastor Terry Bishir will be officiating.
