Obituary of Linda Hanley

Linda L. Hanley, 81, Marion, passed away in her home at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018.  She was born in Marion on April 19, 1937, to Wayne and Ethel (Kessinger) Miller.  On May 19, 1954, she married her loving husband, Larry Hanley, and he survives.

Linda was a homemaker throughout her life and faithfully served her husband and children.  She loved to take care of her family and was not only a mother to her children but a grandma to many children who were not even her own.  She loved her grandchildren and loved to cook.  She also enjoyed watching people and collecting jewelry.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Larry, Marion; children, Darlene (Cheri Carlson) Hanley, Jonesboro, Blandy (Danny Remington) Hanley, Marion, Brett Hanley, Gas City, Ellen (William) Laws, Marion, and Peggy (Joe) Crotts, Gas City; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Karen Englund) Miller, Gas City; sister, Ruby (Danny) Evans, Marion; and brother-in-law, Brad (Phyllis) Holt, Cincinnati.

She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Howard (Violet) Hanley; son, Allen Hanley; and several brothers and sisters.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. with Linda’s funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018, at Grant Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.  Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
