Rosa L. Bockover, 68, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at IU Methodist in Indianapolis. She was born in Marion on November 17, 1950, to the late Howard and Frances Woodard. She was married to David Lee Bockover for 45 years and then was a companion to Cecil Bigelow for the remaining years of her life.
Rosa worked for many years at St. Regis in Marion and was an Abate member for over fourteen years. She enjoyed rabbit hunting, fishing, cooking, reading, processing meat with her grandchildren, playing Bingo, gardening, and tending to her chickens.
She is survived by her sisters, Vickey (Tim) Hall and Barbara Reismiller; partner, Cecil Bigelow; children, Barbara (Jimmy Roll) Bockover, Jimmy “Buddy” (Crystal McGuinn) Bockover, David Allen (Teresa) Bockover, Elicia (Bubba) Bockover, and Christia (Jaymz Shrock) Percy; grandchildren, Jamie (Matt) Beeghly, Kayla Bockover, Lindsey (Randy King) Bockover-Wolf, Joshua Bockover, Dustin (Tyanne) Bockover, Paige (Dillon Thompson) Bockover, Raiden Litton, and the Bigelow grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Jaren Beeghly, Olivia Beeghly, Isaiah Miller, Laine Bockover, Kade Thompson, and Chloe Thompson; step-children, Alisa Bigelow, Teresa Bigelow, and Robby Bigelow; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Howard (Frances) Woodard; step-son, Troy Bigelow; grandson, Hunter Thompson; niece, Crystal (Woodard) Brown; and best friend, Emily Shaw.
The family will be having a memorial service for Rose from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Marion Memorial Tabernacle, 1533 E. 37th St., Marion, IN.
