Obituary of Gaybern M. Bell
Gaybern M. Bell, 86, Marion, passed away at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2019, in her home. Born in Weaver, Indiana, on January 8, 1933, Gaybern was the daughter of the late Floyd Jones and Marette Coyle. She was married to Willie Bell, who preceded her in death.
Gaybern was a homemaker throughout her life and worked for three years at RCA. She enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, dancing, and especially bartending. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children.
She is survived by her children: Helen (Shorty) Howard, Milwaukee; Loretta (Darral) Jones, Milwaukee; Randy Harris, Lafayette; Raymond Jones, Milwaukee; Zelda Jones, Milwaukee; Gail Jones, Milwaukee; Lora (Emanuel) Howard, Marion; Danny (Stephanie) Jones, Milwaukee; and Jeffery Jones, Milwaukee; special sister-in-law, Carolyn “Hum” Nash, WI; sisters, Mary (Robert) Lewis, Marsha (Willie) Rayford, and Shirley Lett; 37 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Curtis Stewart and Walter “Rocky” Jones; sister, Sondra Selmer; very best friend, Rose Roberts; and goddaughter, Diane Bradford.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with Gaybern’s funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Bishop Charles Glenn will be officiating with burial following at Estates of Serenity.
