Aubrey “Auggie” Franklin Meador, 67, Marion, passed away in his home at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019. The oldest of six children, Auggie was born in Peru on December 8, 1951, to the late James Aubrey and Mary Elizabeth (Draper) Meador.
Auggie retired from Active Products in Marion and then enjoyed bartending at Waylon’s Bar until he became disabled. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball, shuffleboard, and golfing. He was so proud of accomplishing two holes-in-one! He loved socializing at 31 Club, Waylon’s, and American Legion Post 10.
He is survived by his sisters: Marilyn (Rick) Meador, AL; Marlena (Steve) Main, Indianapolis; and Martha (Alan) Hofacter, Winchester; and children, Mike (Mandy) Meador, Tracy (Arther) Nieman, and Stacie Jo Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence (Marshelle) Meador and sister, Darlena Wilkerson.
The family will have a memorial visitation from 12 noon to 1 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
