David Clinton Warner, 58, of Marion, passed away at 8:43 p.m. on June 28, 2019, from the result of injuries sustained in a fire in his Marion apartment. He was born in Pekin, IL, on Friday, May 17, 1961, to James D. and Judith A. (Petty) Warner.
David graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1980. He went on to join the Air National Guard where he served for four years, getting certified as a Medical Technician. Over the years, he worked part-time in many positions for the Marion VA Healthcare System.
David enjoyed fishing, cooking for friends, and, most of all, spending time with his friends and pets.
Survivors of David include his mother, Judith A. Warner of Pekin, IL; brother, Daniel D. (Sue) Warner of Lombard, IL; sister, Julie M. Warner of Fishers; nieces and nephew, Lisa, Kelly, Danielle, Kristen, Jamie and Al; 12 cousins; his beloved cat; and several friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Warner.
David’s committal service will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019, at Marion National Cemetery with military honors. Burial of David’s cremated remains will follow.
